Lanternes du Soir

Lanternes du Soir, French for evening lanterns, is about hope, small lights rising and growing brighter as the day ends.

Glowing blooms of amber, saffron, burnt orange and crimson, with two of turquoise, rise from a deep umber ground and grow smaller as they climb. Each one is speckled with gold and trailed by fine drips, like lanterns released at dusk.

Lanternes du Soir brings warmth to living rooms, bedrooms and snugs with darker walls, and pairs beautifully with La Ronde.

Roman Fontaine. Roman Fontaine paints by instinct: bold sweeping gestures, round blooms of colour and generous drips, with rich earth browns grounding bursts of crimson, amber, turquoise and gold. The Fontaine Collection grows from one of his original paintings and is developed in the Canvalora studio from his colours, gestures and forms. See every work by Roman Fontaine.
