About the artwork
Floraison Sauvage, French for wild blooming, celebrates growth without boundaries, the joy of a garden left to flower however it pleases.
Round blooms of crimson, amber, turquoise and leaf green gather around a sweep of fiery red, rising from a deep umber brushstroke like flowers from rich soil. Fine drips, splatter and flecks of gold give the surface the energy of paint still wet on heavy cotton paper.
Floraison Sauvage brings warmth and movement to living rooms, dining rooms and hallways, and pairs beautifully with Le Premier Geste.
About the artist
Roman Fontaine. Roman Fontaine paints by instinct: bold sweeping gestures, round blooms of colour and generous drips, with rich earth browns grounding bursts of crimson, amber, turquoise and gold. The Fontaine Collection grows from one of his original paintings and is developed in the Canvalora studio from his colours, gestures and forms. See every work by Roman Fontaine.
